Before You Grow Up
This book is a celebration of life.
When I first envisioned my family project, I imagined only focusing on the family that Sissy and I created. As I started laying out the first dummy, I realized that I couldn’t avoid talking about my parents, my brothers, my first fifty-eight years of life.
The content of these pages is a hymn to the time I have shared with my two families in the only existence I’m allowed to live.
It’s a testament that I want to leave to my kids, their kids’ children and grandchildren.
I simply smile thinking of that.
And yet, in it you will also find sickness, sadness, mourning, and death.
It couldn’t have been otherwise.
Ultimately, it’s life in its absolute rawness.
This is my idea of a family album. EB
